Camp is probably the place where I have grown the most. It has exceeded my expectations each year and I am so fortunate to spend multiple summers at Camp Champions.
One of my favorite memories at camp was doing the skit Roxanne with other counselors. It is a super funny camp tradition and I got to do it with some of my best friends.
Working at camp is one of the most fulfilling and enjoyable things I have ever done. It is such a good experience and I have grown a lot as a person working as a counselor. I’ve also made really strong friendships with really great people.
One of my favorite memories was one of the Orientation activities we did with all of the guys. I have never felt so much that I was in a place where I belonged and was accepted.
I made friends from around the world, got to learn loads of new skills and seeing the kids grow and change so much in just 2 weeks was amazing. I am definitely more positive and persistent because of my experience at camp.
I loved teaching music and one week in my class the girls created a band. It was so fun to help them with the drums and rhythm and see them so excited to work together.
Camp Champions is a place that once you arrive, you never want to leave. The best memories I have all come from this place. At camp you will grow just as much as your campers and you will create experiences you will never forget.
One of my favorite memories was seeing a group of campers who came back for my second summer. They were so excited to see me and that was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had.
There are so many concrete skills that camp fosters, like public speaking, planning, and pacing yourself. Working at camp has also shown me that I am much more capable than I ever thought possible. I am now unafraid of doing hard things; in fact, I am now excited by new challenges!
My favorite memory from last summer was staging a “wedding” as a special event. The kids were BEYOND congratulatory and ready to party! It’s not everyday that you get challenged to shotgun a Sprite by an 8 year old, but I accepted that challenge and showed him who’s boss.
My summer at Camp Champions was like no other. I’ve created memories and friendships that will last forever. Working with campers is so much fun, and I loved watching them become independent and learn about who they are.
One of my favorite memories was was at the counselor meetings every Wednesday after the dance. I loved how everyone came together with our peers and had an opportunity to receive praise for our hard work. It was great to be a part of such a large supportive community.
My experiences at Camp Champions have made me stronger and better. This is a place where you are able to put down your phone and enjoy the outdoors with your peers.
Some of my favorite memories range from the fun of teaching campers how to Ski and Wakeboard for the first time then being able to watch them get up to playing pickleball and card games with my campers during free play!
